Waves II (The Isometrics)

by The Moving Image

/

about

This is a track by The Moving Image. It started off as an homage to 1950s beachfront vacations, and it brings to mind dancehalls full of colorful, spectacular costumes, swaying motions, heartbeat bass and the pure blissful experiences of life in those times. Vocals are a mixture of spoken-word seriousness and playful yet deliberate lyrics. Vocals recorded at Outer Limit Recording Studio. Original cover-art photograph by Jessica Helen Brant. Enjoy.

lyrics

We turned the dial to the station
Remembering our first vacation
(with the wind sighing...)

We didn't need no reservation
We didn't have no hesitation
(with the wind sighing...)

The Beach, where the waves are turning
The sand-dunes; we were running.
We stumbled over buried treasure...
These thoughts are gonna last... forever...
(Repeats, multivoice.)

The Moving Image Buffalo, New York

The Moving Image. Or The Isometrics, sometimes. We are dance, psychadelia, post-punk, garage rock. Break the binary, love under Will, look to the skies.
